Welcome to Bodywork Business Pro
I’m Reid Peterson, the creator of Bodywork Business Pro and Bodywork Business School. If you desire to grow your practice from online marketing efforts but don’t know where to start, this page is for you.
My belief is that more people need to know about the benefits of your services so they can improve their personal health. With the right marketing strategies and applications integrated, your future clients will be able to find you and learn how beneficial working with you will feel.
I’m here to help make your work easier. I know marketing can be uncomfortable. I also realize it wasn’t your focus while in school. The best way I can help is by showing you how to promote your practice online so that: 1) Clients find you 2) Clients schedule with you 3) Your schedule is as full as you want it to be and 4) You feel great about the difference you’re making.
So you’re here because you can benefit from a stronger online presence. Do any of these sound familiar?
- Your practice is brand new and you don’t know where to start promoting your services.
- You’ve got some clients but you realize you could get a lot more (with less effort) from having a stronger online presence.
The Internet can be a powerful tool to help you get more clients. However, you want to make sure that what you promote online has a great foundation and can easily be applied.
Before you can get found online, you have to be able to clearly answer 3 questions:
- Why do you love to do this work?
- Who (what type of client) is meant to work with you?
- What impression do you want potential clients to have about your practice?
Having clear answers to these 3 questions is like having a roadmap to quicker and greater success. I know they are tough questions. It may take time to answer them clearly. You can continue to move forward without the answers, but eventually, you’ll have to answer them. Otherwise, you’ll limit your potential.
Once you’re clear on your underlying purpose for your profession, you can maximize your online promotional strategy. From this point forward, I am going to advise you on where to start, what’s necessary vs what’s not, and best practices for promoting your Massage & Bodywork practice online.
Start With A Website
The best place to start is with a website. A website is like having an online business card that is being handed out all the time.
Some practitioners think a website isn’t necessary these days because they can promote their practice through Social Media but that’s a costly mistake. Social Media platforms make up their own rules and your info is more vulnerable to the changes they make. Some of the things you can do now to promote your practice could be taken away from you in the future. Without your control, you could lose everything.
Your website is YOUR platform for expressing your talents, passions, and professional services. It’s where people go to find more information about you: What you do, where you do it, when you do it, and how well you do it. There’s so much more freedom in putting whatever you please on your website. It’s the most powerful tool you’ll use online to promote your practice.
Fortunately for you, websites are easier to make now then they used to be. There are excellent website builders available for minimal costs. The one I recommend is wix.com. [Full disclosure: As an affiliate, I receive compensation if you purchase through this link.] Wix is reputable, simple, and affordable.
Do you need a website for your practice? Please don’t feel pressured to hire someone else. I created an affordable course that shows you how to use Wix to create a beautiful Massage & Bodywork website. It’s easy to do and you don’t need much technical skill. Click here to learn more.
Build a Contact List
Potential clients are going to contact you with questions, comments, and other reasons. You’ll want to add them to a database so you can send them information about your practice.
The best way to make and use a list builder is to have your contacts stored in an email marketing software. That way you can send emails to everyone on your list more quickly and effectively.
Like website builders, there are lots of email marketing softwares to choose from. I recommend using MailChimp. It’s free to start using, simple to use, and from personal experience, makes your work a lot easier.
MailChimp is free to use (until you have over 2500 email subscribers). If you would like some guidance on how to configure and start using MailChimp, visit my email marketing course tutorial. Treading new waters can be intimidating and the course makes the process easier and more familiar. Learn more here.
Engage On Social Media
It’s true that being active on Social Media will get the word out about your practice. But chances are you may not have the time to be on Social Media often enough to get new clients or it isn’t aligned with your personal philosophy to justify reasons for using it.
The good news is that you don’t have to use all the Social Media platforms available. You can get clients from using only one platform. But you have to be smart and strategic about it. Right now short videos are very helpful ways to grow your online practice.
Which platform is best for your Massage & Bodywork business? Are you using Facebook? If you are and you want to increase your reach, have you considered Facebook Advertising? It can get you a lot of clients – INEXPENSIVELY!
If you would like some guidance for Facebook Advertising, take the online course created by Scott Lindquist, a Massage Business owner from the Omaha, Nebraska area. Scott has done an excellent job of gaining new clients from FB advertising. Better yet, his students have had a lot of success too. Search Engine Optimization
I define Search Engine Optimization (SEO) as having the right words, in the right place, at the right time – all online. An example of this is when you go to google and enter the search phrase “massage” and then see your website at the top of the 1st page of the search results.
SEO is still immensely powerful and helpful for promoting your practice and getting new clients. SEO has a track record like no other. I have a former student who is booked 3-4 months in advance because of her SEO.
I know SEO is a technical thing that you aren’t familiar with how to do. That may make you think you either need to hire someone to do your SEO (which is both risky and expensive) or you need to find the time to learn how to do it yourself (It took me over 2 years to understand how to do SEO that would work). The good news is that you neither need to hire someone or learn how to do it yourself. You can invest in my SEO course and have everything shown to you without spending too much time or money!
SEO is my bread and butter- in regards to online promotional strategies. Your SEO will greatly improve when you complete my SEO course. If you have a website and no SEO, this course is a must take. Click here to learn more about SEO for your Massage & Bodywork business.
